Patrick Deneen has a lot to say today

By Bruce Ledewitz

Patrick Deneen posted Why They Hate Us today on The Postliberal Order. Read it. It tells you a lot about politics today. I’ll write more, but two things bother me particularly. One, for all the talk about economic intervention, most of the people Deneen looks at do not even support an increase in the minimum wage–it’s all propaganda, as it was with Trump. Second, without God, where is the real in postliberalism? What is human flourishing? Many of the members of this movement are religious, but what about the secularists? This is where The Universe Is on Our Side comes in.
